Founded in 1979 by Steve Simpson, the company's CEO and President, Prepac Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art manufacturer of home furnishings and storage products with its main manufacturing factory located in the heart of the forest rich province of British Columbia, Canada.
The company originated as a prefinished product manufacturer, providing custom printed and finished particleboard shelving for the Western Canadian building industry. In the early 1980s, Prepac launched its first Ready to Assemble (RTA) storage products into the Home Center industry. Success rapidly followed and by 1984 the company began producing national RTA storage programs. As the company has grown, so has the range of products. Prepac still specializes in quality, affordable storage and have added an impressive collection of home furnishings and specialty media storage to our product mix.
Warranty
PREPAC Manufacturing Ltd. provides a limited 5-year consumer warranty against product defects. If a product proves to be defective in manufacturing, material or workmanship, a similar replacement part will be provided at no charge. This warranty applies only to PREPAC Products purchased from recognized PREPAC retailers and to the original purchaser. It is NOT transferable. The warranty period begins from the date the product was purchased. This warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of components or parts having defects in manufacturing, workmanship or materials. No assembly labor is included. Replacement of parts does not extend this warranty or begin a new warranty period. This warranty does NOT apply to normal wear and tear or to any product that has been improperly assembled, used for purposes other than the intended use, improperly cared for or altered in any way. The consumer has purchased a "Ready to Assemble" product which involves "Do It Yourself" assembly, including: handling, transporting, assembling and erecting the product. PREPAC shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages which may result in conjunction with the use of its products. This warranty is in addition to any statutory warranty legislation in the jurisdiction where the product is purchased and does not exclude or limit your legal right. Prepac will require Proof of Purchase, including the date of purchase as well as the retailer name and order number to process the claim. Shipping
We ship all of our products directly to customers ultimately using UPS Ground. However, in October, 2006, we began using a freight line called Trade Direct. We did this since UPS was damaging too many shipments. So, what Trade Direct does is pickup a shipment at Prepac and delivers it to strategically placed UPS Hubs around the country. We enter the UPS notification when Trade Direct picks up a truckload and the date does not change until the shipment is delivered to a UPS Hub and UPS takes physical possession of the shipment. Subsequently, UPS then updates their computers and indicates when a customer's delivery is scheduled. While we don't know the status of a shipment for a few days after Trade Direct picks it up at Prepac, the results have been excellent. Since UPS only updates their computers at night, always check the next morning to track the progress of your order.
Return Policy
This manufacturer does not accept returns, other than for damaged or defective merchandise, in which case they will provide an even exchange.
